20. In the event of any newly elected Member failing to pay his entrance fee within one month from his election, the Committee may at their discretion erase his name from the List of Members, unless ho shall justify the delay to the satisfaction of the Committee.
21. Any Member may resign his membership of the Club by giving notice in writing to the Honorary Secretary.
22. The rights and privileges of a Member shall be personal to himself; they shall not be transferred by his own act or by operation of law, and shall cease upon his death, or upon his ceasing from any cause to be a Member, under the provisions of these Articles.
23. Any person who shall by any means cease to be a Member shall nevertheless remain liable. for and shall pay to the Club all monies which at the time of his ceasing to be a Member shall be due from him to the Club.
24. The General Committee shall have power, without ballot and upon conforming to such forms as the General Committee may determine, to admit Commissioned Officers of the regular Naval, Military and Air Services of the British Empire stationed in Hong Kong or China to such privileges of the Club as the General Committee may think fit and subject to the payment of such entrance fee and subscription as they may determine.
Absent Members.
25. Any Member desirous of being placed on the Absent Members List and paying Absent Member's subscription is required to give notice in writing to the

Secretary to such effect before his departure from the Colony, and in default of so doing he shall be liable for the ordinary yearly subscription. A new notice must be given on each occasion on which the Member leaves the Colony.
26. Any Member who shall have given notice of his desire to be placed on the Absent Members List and to pay Absent Member's subscription shall pay a subscription of $3 for each complete six months, calculated from the date of his departure from the Colony, during which he shall have been absent from the Colony, and he shall only be liable for his ordinary subscription up to the date of his departure. Absent Member's subscription shall be collected on the return of the Member to the Colony.
Honorary Members.
27. The General Committee shall have the power of inviting any persons of distinction to make use of the Club as Honorary Members without payment of entrance fee or subscription and upon such terms and conditions as the General Committee in their absolute discretion shall think fit.
Visitors.
28. Every Member shall be allowed to introduce visitors to the privileges of the Club houses and grounds subject to such regulations and bye-laws as shall be made from time to time by the General Committee.
29. The introducer of a visitor shall be liable for all amounts which may be due from him to the Club.
